YOU are Wanted!

Have you heard this song? It’s great, so are you!

Enjoy :0)

Wanted
Dara Maclean

Lyrics:

From the day you were born
And took your first breath
You opened your eyes and in came the light
He was watching you
But all of your life you couldn’t shake the lies in your head
Saying you’re a mistake
Oh but you were made
By a God who knows your name
He doesn’t make mistakes

CHORUS
You are wanted
To every broken heart, He stands with open arms
You are wanted
To every searching soul, look to the rising sun
If you’re lonely, hurting, gone too far
To the outcast you come as you are
For you, you are wanted, you, you are wanted
You, you are wanted, you, you are wanted

Let this be the day that joy takes the place
Of all of the years that shame tried to steal away
He is calling you
Lift your eyes to see His face
Come run into the arms of grace

CHORUS

You, you have been marked
You’re set apart
And He calls you His
So you don’t have to search
Don’t have to look for where you belong

You are wanted

CHORUS

Is The Path You’ve Chosen Killing You?

20130702-124204.jpg

It’s not too late to start again. You get to choose the road you take, and you get to choose how long you stay on that path. If you’re finding yourself on the wrong path today, I encourage you to STOP, change direction, and start journeying down the right path. In reading The Word, you will find much encouragement and direction for your journey. You’re not in this alone. There are brighter days ahead!

Take a minute or two and read Psalm 103, I think you will find it very helpful. 🙂

My prayers are with you on this journey to growth!

You are blessed,

Sarah

Today’s devo selection:

A NEW ROUTE
By: Joel Osteen

I know people who feel like they’ve wasted years of their lives because of poor choices. They spent years in a relationship that was toxic, years with an addiction, years at a job where they weren’t fulfilled. But you have to realize, nothing you have been through is ever wasted. Your past experiences, good and bad have deposited something on the inside of you. Those challenges have sharpened you to help make you who you are today.

When the enemy brings hardship into your life, God has a way of taking that experience and turning it around for your advantage. You may think you’ve hit a dead end, but if you’ll stay in faith, you will see God begin to open up a new route. He’ll put the right people in your path, the right opportunities, the right circumstances to move you forward toward your God-given destiny.

Today, don’t focus on what’s happened in your past, focus on what God will do in your future. He wants to restore your soul and revive your dreams. Keep believing, keep expecting, keep hoping because God has a new route for your future!

Prayer:
Father God, I come humbly before You today. I give You my past, present and future knowing that You will redeem my life. I release those who have hurt me, I choose forgiveness so I can be free to move forward in the new route You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Scripture:
He forgives your sins—every one. He heals your diseases—every one. He redeems you from hell—saves your life! He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown. He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal. He renews your youth—you’re always young in his presence. (Psalm 103:3-5 MSG)

Take That Snake by the Tail

20130506-004447.jpg

Well, hello!

We had a great vacation, and enjoyed our time as a family. I hope you’ve been doing well, also!

I read this devotional by Pastor Prince and really liked his interpretation of the scripture. Be blessed today as you cast your natural things on the ground, and then pick them back up by the tail. Allowing The Lord to take hold of the head, making your natural things SUPERnatural! When He is allowed to have the head (control), great things happen.

With Him, life is anything but dull – Enjoy the journey! 🙂

Today’s devo selection:

Take The Snake By Its Tail
By Joseph Prince

Exodus 4:2–3
2So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.”3And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.

God wants to take the natural things in your life and make them supernaturally blessed. He does this by asking you to give Him what you already have in the natural, and He will do the supernatural.

That is why the Lord told Moses to cast his rod on the ground. And when Moses cast his rod on the ground, which represents him giving the rod to the Lord, that same rod became the rod of God. With that rod, the Red Sea was opened. (Exodus 14:16) And when that rod was used to hit a rock, water flowed out of the rock. (Exodus 17:5–6) It was no longer a natural rod, but the supernatural rod of God!

But why did the rod become a serpent when Moses cast it to the ground?

Moses never realized that there was a “snake” in his rod. You see, because of the fall of man, there is a touch of the curse — a snake — in every natural thing, including your career, natural strength, talents and ministry.

So how do you deal with the “snake” that is in all the natural things in your life?

First, cast it to the Lord. Then, do what the Lord told Moses next: “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail”. (Exodus 4:4)

Now, it could be fatal to take a snake by its tail because it can easily turn its head around and bite you. So why did God say that?

When you take it by the tail, God will take the head! He wants you to let Him handle the head, and not grab it or hold on to it tightly in fear or self-effort. That is how you see your career, strength, talents and ministry supernaturally blessed.

Beloved, there is a snake, a touch of the curse, in everything in the natural. But give what is natural to the Lord and see the touch of the curse replaced with the supernatural touch of God!

Thought For The Day:
Give what is natural to the Lord and He will make it supernaturally blessed.

Scripture:
So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.” And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. (Exodus 4:2, 3 NKJV)

Reeeellllllaaaaaaaaxxxxxx already! (Note to Self)

20130411-225941.jpg

It’s time to stop, relax, and look up! He’s right there, ready to calm your soul in the midst of the storm. Trust in Him to do so. He won’t let you down! But, there’s a catch…you have to let go of the stress in order to receive His peace. Are you willing?

Have a great weekend!

Love and blessings,

Sarah

Today’s devo selection:

Relax!
by George Whitten, Editor of Worthy Devotions

Matthew 8:26-27 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Whew! What must the disciples have felt back then as they saw the waves crashing against their boat? They we’re being swayed from side to side in the deep dark sea. They were afraid for their lives! But our Lord was there all along. He just wanted them to trust.

So often we find ourselves in that same boat, don’t we? “Lord, are you there?! Don’t you see these waves about to consume me?!

But He does! He sees all, hears all, knows all. He is the same Lord that calmed that storm two thousand years ago and He can cause the winds and the seas, and the trials of our lives to become calm in an instant! Ahh, but it’s usually in the storms that He will display His awesome power!

Let’s renew our trust in the Lord today. God has great plans for those who will put their trust in Him.

One Step Away

20130404-223848.jpg

When we let go of ourselves and grab hold of Him we can get through anything. We are never alone, He’s just one step away. Will you take that step into His arms today? Or are you determined to survive on your own?

Live the blessing,

Sarah

Devotion: The Gain From the Loss, Finding Blessings From The Journey of Illness
By Lisa Buffalo

“Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:25-26).

In the late 90′s, I stayed active, moving, running, and playing. There was so much to do, so many places to go, people to see, fun things to accomplish.

Then illness hit, and life stopped.

Too weak and ill to move, I was relegated to the bed or recliner. Even watching television or reading was too taxing. The things that once gave confidence–my strength and my abilities, slipped from my feeble fingers. I could do… nothing.

And yet in the stillness, in the complete stop of life, I found abundance. Through illness, I gained far more than I could imagine. Getting “me” out of the way, resulted in a closer walk and deeper faith in God. During the quiet journey, God blessed me with internal healing as I faced things long hidden in my past. New friendships were formed, and new opportunities opened for writing and speaking to share God’s goodness. What I had lost was found in new God-given gains.

God became the source for strength and unending abilities. I went from self-confidence to God confidence. And in His confidence, whether running, walking, or crawling, our God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me not to focus on what illness has taken, but on what You have given. Help me to let go of what holds me to the earth, so I may fly free with You. Help me to hold onto nothing but You, because with You all things are possible.

Letting Go Of Archie Bunker

20130325-091416.jpg

God can do anything with a willing heart. Are you willing to allow Him to work in your life, and change you from the inside out? Or would you rather stay the way you are today, forfeiting growth?

Archie Bunker, for those of you who never saw All in the Family, was a cranky, stubborn (among many other despicable things) man who was set in his ways, unwilling to change. No matter how much we disliked Archie, we can’t in good conscience say that we haven’t shared his stubbornness at times. Maybe not in the same areas, but stubborn none the less.

In my life, there have been times where I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my sin and I would have loved to live in that sin forever. But, there came a point where I had to choose..what do I love more? My own fleshly desires, or The Lord and His will for my life? In realizing that His plan for me is so much better than the life I had planned, I was able to surrender fully to the change I knew needed to take place.

He takes the ashes of our lives, and gives us beauty in return. The joy I thought I had found when I was choosing sin over Him is so completely dim compared to the joy I now have living in His will. Everyday, I have to choose (in some capacity), will I be willing to let Him change me even more today, or will I choose to stunt my growth by staying set in MY ways.

Just like we talked awhile back how bitterness is a form of pride, so is stubbornness (or being unwilling to change). When we are not willing to let go of our stuff, we are telling God, “My way is better than Yours. I am my God now.”

Let’s stop trying to be someone we aren’t. Let’s surrender to being His sheep, instead of continuing the doomed pursuit of taking the Shepherd’s job. Surrender today, be willing to allow Him to work in and through you. You will never be sorry that you did.

Willingness = Surrender

We’ll chat more tomorrow,

Sarah

Today’s prayer devo selection:

Prayer for Willingness

I AM willing to change!

I AM willing to change my mind!

I AM willing to change my heart!

I AM willing to change the perception
of myself and the world around me!

I AM willing to change what I do and
how I do it!

I AM willing to know change, to be changed and see the miraculous change that change
brings!

I know that I of myself can do nothing,
therefore, I AM willing to allow the Holy
Spirit to heal and change me at the soul
level, that I may be all that God created me to be.

I AM willing to be transformed!

. . . to have my true mind restored,

. . . to have my heart renewed,

. . . according to God’s perfect plan.
