Your Ripples Say A Lot About You.

I’ve been thinking about ripple effects…

When we make decisions, do we only consider ourselves? Or do we take time to consider how our decisions will effect others?

When we make the choice to shove that 3rd quarter pounder in our mouths, or starve ourselves through another meal time, or ditch out on our job, or work voluntary overtime again..we may think, who cares. It’s my life, my body. But, the truth is, those decisions effect the people around us, too.

If we are unhealthy, others feel the side effects of that. If we are absent, or living without integrity, others feel the effects of that.

None of our decisions effect just us. Everything has a ripple effect.

So, today, I want to encourage you to slow down, and take a step back. Consider carefully the decisions you make today – big or small – and the effects they will have on not only you, but those around you.

One way to know if the decisions we are making will result in a positive ripple effect is to consider what The Lord would have us do. Seek His face, and He will show you the way to go.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

We are all life changers..the question is, how will we choose to change lives? For good, or for bad?

You are blessed,

– Sarah

  2. I will never forget having a conversation just like this with a really good friend who was going through quite the tough time. After several dates to talk, encourage and give the input she wanted from me; this post you wrote is precisely how I concluded our last meeting. “Remember, though the final decisions rest w/you, they will ultimately ripple into the lives of those you care about”. A year later–it was evident that others do feel the effects of our ripples. What a good reminder!

    Hope you’re hanging in there and doing well friend of mine!
