Learning To Love Yourself So You Can Love Others

Image

Good morning!

May we all be open to love, forgiveness, teaching, correction, and restoration today. If we stop seeing ourselves as failures (self loathing), we will begin to see others in a different light, too.  When He looks at us, He sees LOVE..We should learn to do that for ourselves and others, too. You can’t give what you don’t have. So if you don’t love yourself, how ya gonna love others? Put your love glasses on today! 🙂

Below is a prayer I wanted to share with you. Love to you all, my co-journeyers!– Sarah

 Teach Me

Dear God,

Today I ask for and open myself to receive an outpouring of your loving Spirit.
Today I ask that you teach me how to see myself the way You see me.
Teach me how to see myself beyond the things I have been taught or told about myself that are not true about me.
Teach me how to see myself beyond the distorted perceptions and false beliefs I may have created about myself.
Teach me how to see myself beyond the poor choices or bad decisions I may have made in the past.
Teach me how to see myself beyond what I consider failures.
Teach me how to see myself beyond what I consider mistakes.
Teach me how to see myself beyond the judgments I may have held about myself and against myself.
Teach me how to see myself without comparing what I have and do not have to what others have or do not have.
Teach me how to see myself beyond what I have done and not done that was unkind, unloving or grounded in self-doubt or unworthiness.
Teach me how to see myself beyond the unkind, unloving ways I may have treated others.
Teach me how to see myself beyond any shame, guilt, fear, anger, regret, resentment I may be holding, denying or avoiding in the recesses of my heart.
Re-mind me to re-member that Your vision of me and for me is grounded in love and forgiveness.
I open my mind and heart to receive Your love, forgiveness and vision for my life.
I am grateful for all I have received and all that is yet to come.

I let it be.
And so it is!

Amen
